Default Bought some Fat Bob wheels

After looking for months and comparing prices I finally bought some wheels for my misses 08 Fat Bob.

They are oem wheels done in gloss black. $780 shipped for the pair,

The local dealer in Macon will install bearing, oem tires, mount, balance, and install for $480. About $1300 total for the package.

What size are the 08 front rotors? If I can use touring rotors there are alot more choices.

I think....and I am dangerous when I think....The fronts are 11.5 and the back is 11.8... or it could be vice versa...

Finally received a tracking number. Looks like 4 Apr for delivery.

These are a new p/n. F: 40900075 R: 40900065

I paid $730 shipped for the pair. They are the oem Fatbob wheel in gloss black, I think they will look great with a set of polished or chrome rotors.

Went to the dealer and we see no reason why 08+ touring rotors will not work on 08+ FatBobs. That gives alot more options at lower cost.

As soon as they arrive its off to the Indy for some new shoes!

Those are good looking wheels. It's a shame the rotors will hide so much of them.

Sounds like you'll have some nice wheels there. The stockers are a pain to keep nice.

Just a thought though...wouldn't it have been a lot cheaper to have got the wheels off your wife's bike painted or coated black?

Oh, and can't you use the rotars off your existing wheels?

Maybe to both. These are Harley wheels so the quality should be top notch. I didnt want to hassel with the downtime waiting for a powdercoater, and I couldnt find one local that any of my bike buds would recommend for wheels.

Im looking for seethru rotors.

Just a thought, while you have the wheels off you could dress the rotors up with some ***** Shiny black spacers. And polish or paint the rest of the rotor. I'll attach pictures of mine before and after I blacked out the rotor. The wheel spacers cover the rotor bolts and give it a really clean look!

Since your going with the black wheels, yours may look better with polished rotors and the black wheel spacers! Just a suggestion. Anxious to see pictures of the wheels installed.

Do you know what size the front rim is as and if a 21 rim would fit the front?? I only ask cause i was looking to get larger front rim so it looks like the back of the bike is dropped lower, if that makes any sense.
