Riser play after installing 18"apes

I just installed a set of 1.25 carlini Fly in apes 18" on my 2007 street bob,Love the look .But there is about a 1" play in the stock risers. the bars step down to 1" .I thought about using a set of polyurethane bushings instead of the rubber mounted ones. any help on this wold be appreciated thanks

Put the poly bushings , they will fix the problem for you. I had to with my 16" Apes.

In extreme cases (24" apes+) you can use alloy bushings.

Get the poly, the rubber bushings allow the riser bolt to flex resulting in broken riser bolts. Ask me how I know....

The stock rubber bushings blew more *** than Oprah after a huge Taco Bell feast. They had a lot of play with the stock apes so when I switched to 14" apes we put poly bushings in and it got rid of the sloppy mess... unlike Oprah.
