Thanks for all the answers.... I just wanted to be confident I wouldn't fry something.. I have in the Past done the run and bump jump start on a Carb bike... I was concerned about a power surge frying the ECU.

I forgot to turn off the switch last summer and had to jump start with the Jump-n-Carry type. Called my son to bring me his, but when he gets there, his dead - no joy. Called the wife and hooked up hers - good to go.

I'll have no concerns using one (or a car that's off) again.
