Hi, I already have the standard harley windshield and had to cut to make room for the 7" headlight I installed. I prefer not to have to cut the next one and would like a shield that is not as tall. I am only 5'9" and the standard harley is hard to see over...comes about eye level. I prefer to be able to see over the shield....any suggestions?
i dont know about height wise, but memphis shades speed demons i've been looking at recently. they are cut for 7 and 9 inch headlight opening. if you do a search on here, you will find some pics and members that have this shield. i was actually thinking of getting this shield, i also have a 7" light.
I have a compact smoked windshield with no hardware. I replaced it for a clear tall windshield. The shorter one is off a 2007 FXDC detachable. If that is something your looking for PM me Id love to get it out of my garage for very very cheap.

Why not just cut down your shield. You already cut it for the light. It's easy enough to do it yourself.
Better yet, move the cutout for your light up, and then drop the shield down. I don't know if that is possible with your setup but with my sport shield and quick release clamps, I was able to do that. Helps block wind from below which is what usually causes buffetting.
Good idea on the cutting, but damn I cannot cut straight......
That's good, because it needs to be a half circle anyway! LOL
Just tape it up and get a protractor and trace the outline however far you need to move. If you screw it up so what...you were already planning to spend money anyway!
Tape, draw the line using a template, cut close, and file the rest. If it's the harder Lexan material then it is easy to work with. I cut mine during too many beers and was able to clean it up just fine the next day.
