Just got the kit and read through the instruction. Seems very easy!
It does have a chart on what lenght you should cut the PVC spacer. For my bike 2010 fxdwg it says 1.00" for a 2011 fxdwg it lists 2.30" wonder why such a difference?
Just got off the phone with the progressive tech line. The tech said the 2010 and 2011's front ends are a little different. He said the 1.00" would give you a 2" drop. I think I am going to try 1.50 first. Then cut it if I want a little more.
Yup good idea, i know works uses schedule 80 pvc for their spacers so you can always get more from lowes or your local home improvenent store. Is progressives pvc?
Yeah it's just 2 pieces of PVC. I was thinking of going to lowes and see if I can find a pre cut piece that is 1 1/2", that way both pieces are the same lenght, level and straight. All I have to cut with is a jigsaw and a steady hand. Well, pretty steady!
I have the kit but havent installed it yet. The pieces I have are like 3 1/4" long if I remeber correct. I can remember so dont hold me to it. I hope to get to that this weekend.

If ya wind up having to cut them, just make the best cut you possibly can and place some sandpaper on a mirror or piece of glass and hold the cut piece as you sand it. Not as hard to get it right than you might think.
dFREDb: I used your piece of glass idea and it worked very good. I got both pieces as close as I could but they are not 100% even. I hope progressive doesn't expect you to get it perfect?

You'll be o.k. Feels good to do the work yourself doesn't it!!! Really glad I could help! Fred
Before I cut mine..The pieces I have are 3 1/4" long. So when they cut to 1 1/2" does that mean to take that much off them or the piece that goes into the fork need to be 1 1/2" long? And I use 1 1/2" as an example. So what happens if you leave them at 3 1/4"...I take it nothing as far as height change.
