Just a quick question before I order my AVON AIR CUSHIONED GRIPS. I pulled apart the switch housing for the throttle to see what type of grip is used. To me it looks like a push/pull style setup. Can someone confirm this because Avon makes two styles, push/pull and fly by wire. So is my 2010 Street Bob a push/pull setup?
I believe you have a push/pull system. The Throttle by wire is used on the touring bikes. You can easily tell as Throttle by wire is electronic and push/pull is cables.... Hope this helps...

That makes sense, just wanted to confirm before I order. Because there is nothing more frustrating than not asking the question, getting the new part in. Going to install it to find out you have the wrong part, and kicking yourself for not asking.
Push/pull have 2 cables (push/pull). The TBW has no visible cables as the single wire runs inside the bars but as has been pointed out, only on the touring models.
Give us an update on how you like them, am thinking of the same grips for my ride! Terry
Will do, I will be ordering them tomorrow so I should have them by the end of the week or early next week. I will get them on and test them out and let you know what I think of them. But all the reviews I have read on them they are great grips and not too expensive like some grips.
i too would be interested in a review of the air grips, i've been looking to get these grips to help stop some vibes thru my bars.
I went with the Avon Air Cushioned black and chrome. A local shop sold them to me for 52 bucks. They were a breeze to install and they are the most comfortable grip I've ever used. Way better that the kury iso grips IMO.
