Looks good....How do you like the light so far? Did you need to use a load equalizer or did it just work without any problems? I was thinking about putting my stock lites back on and mount them to the swing arm for a little more visibility...
I really like the light and the turn signals. I didn't use a load equalizer. When I first was testing them with the stock t/s they flashed fast. But when I hooked both sides up it went to a normal one second interval.
I was going to run just the tail light with internal turn signals like you did. But I decided the more lights the better for safety sake. I actually like the look now. I am considering going with LED T/S though. Load equalizer will most likely be needed for that though.
Was wondering what all you had to do to get this setup working? Load equalizers, splicing wires, etc. That is exactly what I want to do.
Thanks
First thing I did was use the provided white plug to get the tail light working. Then to get the internal turn signals hooked into the stock turn signals I spliced the blue and the yellow wire into the stock turn signal wires. I spliced the yellow wire to the left(clutch) side hot wire also using the black ground. The blue wire to the right (brake side) hot wire. This is "opposite" of the wiring shown in bobnehoc's original post in this thread. But thats the way I got it to work. I didn't use a load equalizer and its been working fine.
I know this is an old thread but I have to thank bobnehoc! Since these tail lights don't come with any wiring instructions, your detailed write up made my install a breeze.
