had the skoot dyno'd today. first pass was 87 hp 91 tq , i was like WOW not too shabby then the indy did a little tuning, she pulled 89 hp 92 tq EVEN BETTER and on the third pass an old guy was watching and walked over and asked if he could try something, " thinking to myself dont touch my bike whoever you are" he said i wont actually change anything, and i said sure, he asked for two screwdrivers. im thinking you said you wouldnt change anything sucker! so he took the two screwdrivers and held the ends of them over the pipes "non handle ends" and said run it, ok so i did and WOULDNT YA KNOW IT!! 94 tq 91 hp, im stoked with that! sooo when i pulled it off the dyno and payed the suckers and proceded to talk to the guy who put the screwdrivers over my drag pipes, "steve" he said he was an old wrench and i needed to tap a 3/8's hole in the bottom of my pipes and put a bolt with double nuts on it to do the same thing, needless to say when i got home i did so. it showed on the dyno it took the tq lag out by a bunch from the free flowing pipes, anyone on here know of this trick? he said it was better than torque cones, that the cones were a waste of money compared to the bolt...idk but im a believer
i honestly didnt think my bike would break 90 on either reading, i would have been happy with the first pass, how accurate are dyno's anyway?
Sounds kind of like how the BCT baffles are designed. With a bolt and washer welded to the end. This is what I installed but haven't dyno'd with them to see if it changed anything. But they sound Great!
They claim it will add more HP/TQ and it seemed to run a little better but that could have just been in my head too. Definatley changed the sound for the better though. And no more decel pop either.

I bought mine for the sound. I wanted the more deep throaty sound in which I got. When I called BCT about the install placement he mentioned people average 2 hp more afterwards. I can't say I actually noticed anymore but I like the sound and no more decel pop. I just looked on their website and one review from a dyno test going from no baffles to BCT it increased 12 hp /14TQ which you expect increase going from no baffle to something. Take it for what its worth they are trying to sell baffles. http://www.bigcitythunder.com/pages/dynotest.html
