I think you would struggle to tell the difference between them on a Harley. Either will feel hugely better than the stock Dunlops. Generally the Metzelers last longer.

The Avon Venoms are great tires and give you a real good feel of the road. Very sticky and handle and perform real well both on dry and wet roads. Rubber may be a little softer than the Metzler's and some of the other brands, which is why they may not last as long. I suppose burn outs don't help with the longevity either!
