A question to those that have the HD slip ons.
It looks like the slip ons also cover the front part of your boot tread.
If so, do your boots slip at all when you put your foot down on the pavement ( stop signs, walking around ) ?
I am just curious and have always wondered about it.

No, they don't slip. I have a pair. Got them as a gift, threw them in the saddle bag and never thought I'd wear 'em cuz they look ridiculous. But..... one particularly bad storm I put them on and they were a Godsend.

But you can get fenders that help. Mine in the sig pic is tight to the fender and really does help block the spray.

The ones I have got like their own tread on the bottom. They cover the front half of your boot, but have some rubber on the bottom of the cover to keep you from slipping.

I have the wrap chaps. They are perfect for my use. They keep the cold air off the knees and they block the spray. I have used them in light mist and they worked great. easy on and off, keeps my legs warm and dry. they roll up small for easy storage. I've utilized them for about 10 years .

I'm a chaps wearer. Don't have a problem with heat in the summer as the wind blast keeps me cool. in the early and late season they keep me wqrm except for the crotch. After 18 years of marriage a shrunk up twig and berries doesn't matter anyway. Above all I feel beter having the protection if something bad happens. There are alot of deer in ND/Minn. where I do most of my riding. I have hit one and not gone down but if the s^*t hits the fan and I do go down I will save some skin anyway.
