Getting new bars, riser question?
Making tight u-turns, even two-up, is no problem. My buddies are doing 2 or 5 point turns and I just do them without stopping to back up, with feet up.
On the road my hands are in a natural position, wrists straight and arms and chest muscles in the best and most powerful position for dealing with road hazzards. Should the day come when I have to lay it down or die, I'll at least have a better handling bike to accomplish the task.
There are other examples, but the feeling I get is more like riding my offroad dirt racer, I have so much better control.
By the way, the bars shown in my pic aren't the ones that I first put on, they are 2.5" higher, not as good as the shorter bar/riser combo, but more solid. I just couldn't find shorter t-bars that were wide enough. These were advertised as 6", but they measure 7" of rise.

you can see them in my signature pic.
Ya, one thing leads to another Hemi. I ordered a set of braided -2" Magnum cables off eBay for the brake and clutch and got them shipped free to my friend in Portland. When he gets them up to me it'll look a lot better, these are just too long to suit my tastes. Looking at past pics of my bike I think that a 2" Jackyl tank lift is next on the agenda don't you think? Have to get the tank back on to see how these new bars clear though.
