Thanks
Let me explain my lighter feeling bike comment. Mine came with the dreaded buckhorns and I like to work on my bike on the back patio in the sun. To ride the bike back there I have to ride over a few sets of half buried R/R tie curbs that separate my driveways from the lawn. With the buckhorns I had to make sure I approached them at a right angle, bump into them then finesse/paddle my way over them. As soon as I put the 4.5" risers and drag bars on I rode back to the garage. Just making a u-turn in the grass I could feel the difference, so I hit the R/R ties at a 45 degree angle without stopping to paddle. Riding back out through the narrow gate was way easier than when I rode through it an hour earlier.

Making tight u-turns, even two-up, is no problem. My buddies are doing 2 or 5 point turns and I just do them without stopping to back up, with feet up.

On the road my hands are in a natural position, wrists straight and arms and chest muscles in the best and most powerful position for dealing with road hazzards. Should the day come when I have to lay it down or die, I'll at least have a better handling bike to accomplish the task.

There are other examples, but the feeling I get is more like riding my offroad dirt racer, I have so much better control.

By the way, the bars shown in my pic aren't the ones that I first put on, they are 2.5" higher, not as good as the shorter bar/riser combo, but more solid. I just couldn't find shorter t-bars that were wide enough. These were advertised as 6", but they measure 7" of rise.

Thx
i had custom t-bars made for my nitetrain from BR Customs. They are 28" wide, 4 inch rise and 2" pullback, they are made to the measurements i wanted and are extremely comfortable
you can see them in my signature pic.

Ya, one thing leads to another Hemi. I ordered a set of braided -2" Magnum cables off eBay for the brake and clutch and got them shipped free to my friend in Portland. When he gets them up to me it'll look a lot better, these are just too long to suit my tastes. Looking at past pics of my bike I think that a 2" Jackyl tank lift is next on the agenda don't you think? Have to get the tank back on to see how these new bars clear though.

I see you also run a windshield. The 2" tank lift seemed to change the wind dynamics for my bike for the better with that set-up. I did have to tilt my windshield forward, more like what you have, to get the best results.
