bent or optical illusion?

Was looking at this very thing tonight on my bike. One side is closer. Do any of you guys notice that the rear fender flares out a bit in the front? Almost like it's bent, you can see a slight stamp line/crease that comes off the bottom radiused edge of the fender on the right side.

My guess is that the rim is offset to the left, because there's a huge chunk of metal surrounding a big chain over on the left side... and if you were perfectly centered, you'd be constantly trying to sit on the right side of your seat to get the bike to 'ride upright'... because of center of gravity...
