Default bent or optical illusion?

So as am looking at the back of my bike I can't tell if the fender struts are bent or just giving me an optical illusion. The tire does not help either. When I slide my hand in between the tire and the strut the left side is about 1/4-1/2 inch closer to the tire. Is this standard or should I be concerned. You kinda have to stare at the photos to tell where the struts are vs the tire. Thanks for any advice fellas. Cheers.

The important thing is the relationship between the front and rear wheels. If that measures up OK (they are in line with each other) I might just tweak the struts a little.

They often seem to be off-centre and its usually to the left like yours is...it looks like the wheel is spaced incorrectly but the tyre seems to be wearing OK.

07, No offense, but are you sure about that? The tire does seem to wearing fine and I don't have a street bob, but that just doesn't make any sense to have it off center. That would throw the fender off center as well (unless they used offset spacers). That would drive me crazy...Something looks tweaked to me. JMHO.

Is the belt drive alignment OK?
Just measured mine, sides are about 1/4" different

Try measuring it off the jiffy stand while someone holds the bike upright. Remember you motor is rubber mounted and the swingarm is mounted to the motor/trans assembly. When you lean it over on the sidestand it will push the rear to the right side of the bike.

Everything is turning fine with no rocking motions. I'll look into the belt drive system but I think I am ok. It is a 2008 super glide that is getting torn apart right now if anyone cares.

There have been a number of similar posts. The overwhelming response seems to be that the rear tire does not sit perfectly center on Dyna's. Occasionally some lucky SOB will have one that does, but if your bike is anything like mine, that is simply not the case.

yeah my 2000 fxdx is like that. in fact the tire rubs on the strut bolts and wears threw the wires to my left directional. I tought it was bent ( from being rear ended by a nother bike) but those strut braces are pretty stout.
