Default Hey guys need some help

FWD control install in process on '11 FXDC. Shifter side is done with no probs, I'm doing the brake side now but I can't seem to get the new rear brake rod aligned so that it fits into the rear master cylinder and the brake pedal pivot point. Question: does the rear brake rod pass over or under the front exhaust mount (the mount right under the cam cover)? If it passes over, did you have to undo the exhaust mount in order to install the brake rod? A close up pic of this area from a bike with fwd controls would be great. The directions with the kit are not very good and I can't see the info I want in the manual.

On my 10 fxdb it goes under. Tried taking a couple of pics for you but don't know how much you can see as everything is black and all I have on me is an iphone. 1 is from above and 1 is from below. Hope this helps.

Thanks JBrown that helps. When I tried to route it under the exhaust mount it comes very close to lining up except it hits on a bolt on a cross over pipe clamp. I loosened the clamp and tried turning the clamp a bit to gain some clearance but it doesnt have much room to move out of the way. Geuss I'll have to try a little harder.

I got it. After eating some breakfast I went back out to the garage, loosened the clamp bolt a couple more turns and was able to spin it out of the way to make room for the brake rod. Unfortunately it started raining and was only in the 30's today so I didn't try it out yet. Thanks for the info guys. This site is a great resource for the do it your selfer. I've installed all my accessories on my new bike myself and saved a bunch of $$$$. Thanks again.

Tried them out today and they are much more comfortable. I need to program my brain and feet back to using fwd's again after using mids for a month now. Neutral is harder to get using the stock trans shift lever though. I wonder if changing to synth lube like I did in my '99 will make it any easier. Other than that I like it much better.
