Default Engine upgrade

I have a 2001 Wide Glide, I'm trying to upgrade CI on motor without boring cases and changing cranks, What can I do to do this? Cams? Jugs and pistons? Heads? Any suggestions will be awesome thanks!

The quickest/easiest would be a 95" upgrade. New cylinders and pistons, Install those and the engine goes back together. Should still be able to find aftermarket kits. An extra bonus is when you add cams or upgraded heads, but then the cost goes up in relation to what you want done.

107" is the biggest you can go before you need to start getting into some heavy engineering.

I recently did a 103 for a customer it was a 2008 so the 50mm throttle body doesn't apply (you could use a 52mm S&S carby) but the parts list goes like this.

SE D port heads
50mm Throttle assy
103 Big Bore
Adjustable pushrods
255 Cams
V&H Short Shots
Power Commander 3

It gives 101HP and 108 Torque which is quite enough for anybody who isn't obesssed with numbers.

If doing it on a pre '06 bike I would recommend the S&S gear -driven cam conversion.

I would just do a S&S big bore kit some Super Stock Heads from them and some cams, lifters, etc etc.. And you will be happy

Just order a 120R and get it over with.

Since he's talking about an '01, it is starting out as an 88" motor ...

The 107" is biggest big bore kit for the 96" motor before case boring the 'spigots' or stroking it ...

For an 88" motor, the biggest you can get without case boring the 'spigots' or stroking it is a 98" big bore ...
