Default Question about rear fender?

I just bought a 2010 Street Bob and go figure, want a new rear fender. I was wondering what the frame difference is between a Street Bob and a Fat Bob/Wide Glide? I like the bobber rear fender and am wondering my options. Also the bobber kit available from HD says that 08 is the last year of compatibility. Any help is appreciated.

I am not 100%, but I do believe that a 2008 or earlier Wide Glide fender will fit the 8.5" strut width on the Street Bob. The new Wide Glide and Fat Bob both have 9" fenders.

Blue Angel is correct, as far as I know. You may want to consider older models for a swap. For instance, I am getting an older Street Bob fender on mine.

HD makes a bobbed fender with no light for the Street Bob that is very similar to the new WG fender.

If my memory serves me correctly, the fender you are refering to is called a chopped fender and a bobbed fender has the kicked up section in the rear of the fender. I think this name came from when Original Bobbers were made by chopping as much away from the bike as you could, riders would chop and roll the longer fenders forward causing the bottom part that flared out to become the kicked up part on the bobbed fender.

Yea, sorry the chopped fender is what I was referring to. Here is the kit:

Your link answers your question.

Fits '06-later DynaŽ models (except FXDF, FXDFSE, FXDFSE2 and '10-later FXDWG models). Requires separate purchase of Side Mount License Plate Kit P/N 60938-10 or 60978-10.
The only reason the fat bob is ruled out is due to the longer strut/covers I think and it is OE on the 10+ Wide Glides.

There is no difference between your frame and the one on my 07 below.
