i have an 06 street bob and just started doing changes the last year or so. i have the hd wide tire kit and was looking at lowering with the burly slammer kit. has anyone had these two together and are there any rubbing issues. i called burly and they were not that much help they said if im concerned i should add a 1/2'' travel limiter the shock. which would limit the travel to 1/2''. i dont need a lot of comfort but im not looking to launch my spine out the top of my head either.

I'd say to just put your bike on a lift and remove your shocks, lower it to where the Burley Slammers would bottom and check your clearances. Use a ruler to measure the shock bolt to bolt distance.
Burley wasn't much help because your actual tire width/profile and how neatly you tucked in your wiring, bolt protrusions, etc., plus how well your wheel is centered, all factor in.
Also bear in mind that your static bike clearances won't necessarily be the same as they are when weighted, under power and in a turn.
Believe me, you won't have much comfort with a half to an inch of travel, especially when about 1/3 of that will be taken up with static sag. You are in hardtail comfort now.
I have this exact setup on my bike with the SE180. No clearance issues. Check out my pictures for what it will look like. When you walk up on it, it looks slammed.
