ackman1968,
I believe the only year for mids on the fatbob was in 08.
I was going to pull the trigger on a Fatbob yesterday deal breaker was no mids, and the dealer would not work a deal
I offered to split cost of parts and dealer provided labor and they keep the forwards needless to say I left on my 05 FXDLI

What do you think about the touring windshield function? Had a chance to compare it to the regular QD shield?
I started with the H-D QD Compact shield. I experienced a deafening low-freq rumble and buffeting that started at just under 40 MPH. I tried all the usual adjustments, but didn't see much improvement. Removing the visor from my 1/2 helmet helped a bit with the buffeting, as did installing the fork bag, but not much. I saw a HUGE improvement with the Touring shield. What little buffeting I had was practically eliminated with the Memphis lowers. Extremely comfortable now at any speed.

Mine's not a compact, but full sized (not Touring though.) It's great at 55, but sucks at 70.
I may get the touring, but I sure am tired of giving HD all my spare money.
