Crap sorry about that last post... Stupid phone cut and pasted..... Anyway hit jim up. All he needs is the outer primary with the hole for the mids and he'll do the swap.
His is an 09 fatbob
I installed the HD ones and to remove the linkage arm from the primary you have two choices. 1-us a hack saw and cut the arm from the lever from behind the primary (pain in the ars if you ask me). 2-pull the whole primary off to remove it (there is a part that get installed that requires a 24hr cure timebefore use).
What I did install the whole forward control kit, minus the rear black lever arm and I just ziptied loosely the mid linkage arm to the new linkage bar. And when I had the bike in to get some work done I spent a little extra $$ and had the case pulled and the rest of the work done.
When I install the forwards at home, it took me maybe an hour total to do everything.
I have the opposite problem. I have a Fat Bob with forward controls, but I have short legs. I can reach the mini-floorboards I put on it, but on longer rides, the spot (the ONLY spot) where my foot hits the mini-floorboard starts to burn. I have nowhere else to put my feet to get some relief. I bought some heel rests/stirrups, but in order to mount the heel rest, the part that prevents the mini-floorboard from moving won't fit. I don't know if adjustable highway pegs might be the answer. Anyone else fixed this problem?
