Python exhaust is indeed made by V&H that is correct. As for how loud they are... They are definitley louder than I had thought they were going to be but I think they are great. Riding with earplugs???? No. They arent that loud. I'm not sure what they sound like from behind because I have never been behind my bike. When I put the pipes on, I went for a ride with my brother following me and he said they sounded great. Cruising on the parkway at like 60 mph all i heard was a nice even deep tone. IMHO these pipes are f**kn' sick.

I installed the V&H quiet baffles & they are not much, if any, louder than the cycle shack slip ons I replaced. Great sound.

Hey man. I guess it depends how you ride. I used to ride sport bikes before I got my FatBob and I have never scraped these new throwbacks. They do sit much higher than the stock pipes and as far as i can tell at least on my bike it looks to me like the foot pegs would hit way way before the pipes.

I'll try to take a picture and a video in a few hours. Have the throwbacks on my Street Bob and they sound great. Unfortunately, it's going up for sale.

I know it's an older post but perfect for me to ask how are the Throwbacks holding up? I'm looking to get these for my 2014 Low Rider. Did any of you have to rewrap them? Or any head pipe cracks?

Here's a review from Dennis Kirk:

Installed these pipes on my 2013 Street Bob (FXDBP, 103 motor). Gave it an old school look. Nice low deep rumble at idle and screams without sound fade all the way up to wide open throttle. I did remove the baffles. Great craftsmanship on the heat wrap. Pipes did have partial heat shield, something I did not expect. I changed stock air filter with K&N filter. I do have these pipes paired up with RC components fuel management, also bought from Dennis Kirk. I will write a review for that as well. Thanks for the great product, service, price and fast delivery. Why go anywhere else?

Is that true about the partial heat shield?
