I installed them without the tips and then also put them on. I like a little chrome to go with the wrapped look. I'm a copy cat, painted them black as you did, really like how they turned out.

I would like to put them on my 05 Wide Glide but have been told they won't fit. Any ideas?

I would call the manufacturer and ask why. maybe a custom bracket might work.?

I realize this is an older thread. What are yall using to paint the wrap and how has it held up?

Just a standard high temp black paint I purchased at auto zone. Looks great and has held up well. I've probably touched up a couple of spots a time or two. Generally I can do this without taking off the pipes but when I did my cams and had the pipes off I gave them a quick going over.
