I really don't think I could go that wide. I am considering moving up from the stock tire to the 180 but nothing bigger. Plus I'm sure it will be crazy expensive.

I had a Night train a few years back that had the 200 tire. I couldn't tell much of a difference when I rode it... but what got me was how fast it wore out. 8000 miles was all I could manage.. and by then the steel belts were showing, so I should have changed it sooner. Now I don't do burn outs or drag racing at all... and 8000 miles was all I could do. Add to that the price of a new tire was double what I paid for normal width tires...

So yeah... looks cool if you're into that sort of thing. But wears out fast and costs a lot to replace.. In my opinion, it's not worth it.

Talked to the Heartland guy about a couple of months back. It's gonna be about $4495 with wheel and all. The fender and struts are the best looking part of the kit and you can get that look a LOT cheaper and keep your handling by keeping it 200mm or smaller.

That kit makes the Dyna back half look like a Jap bike. It seems as if I remember a V Star having a similar style strut setup. The heartland site also shows a stock 17 inch rear wheel and a cluttered up strut setup for the comparo.
I smoothed up my struts by using chrome covers with a docking kit insert to fill the holes. Combine that with a Laydown tag bracket, and a 18 X 5.5 rear and you get alot more for your bucks. Plus I still have all of the great seat, luggage, strut options for conversions.

I would buy another rigid framed bike to start wrenching on before I spent $4500.00 on that. Heartland gets 2 thumbs down from this side of the Coast.
