Default harley detachable saddlebags

I have the dyna fat bob and recently purchased the detachable bags but they didn't come with the docking gear. Long story short, guy on ebay stated that the docking hardware was supose to come separately but he was full of it cause it's supose to come with the bags and not sold separately. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about these bags and if there's specific docking hardware for my fat bob or is it one fits all dynas?

Do you have a part number for the bags?

Unfortunatly for you, but if the bags he sold you are Harley Bags, then he's right. Harleys sells their quick detach bags with hardware on the bag side, but you have to purchase the hardware for the bike side..

Depending on the year of your Fatbob, you will have to get a couple things to make them work. You may need a Rear Turn Signal Relocation kit as well as a Detachable Docking Kit. Check the catalog for part numbers..
After installing mine, i had a bunch of stuff left over in the original kit but i think it'll come in handy when i want to add a sissy bar later...
Good luck.

The part number is 90181-08. Would they still fit my 2010 FB?

"Fits '06 & later Dyna models. '09 later FXDB require separate purchase of turn signal relocation kit."

Here's the install page w/parts listing.

Mine did come with all the hardware for mounting but you should be able to purchase it separately. There is quite a bit of specialized stuff in there including new bolts for the rear shocks and special spacers for the shocks with mounting points for the bags. Without that stuff your bags are pretty useless.

I just looked at the parts list for the bags and not all the parts are available. Most importantly the lower mounting brackets that replace the top spacer on the rear shock. I hope you got a great deal. If not get your money back.

Ya, after talking with the dealership, it's going to cost over $300 bucks for the parts. But the bags should have already come with most of the parts. Thats what you get by doing business over ebay without thoroughly investigating. I learned my lesson.
