2006 Dyna - Electrical Issue
Engine light kept coming one so I decided to change the stator setup that I had purchased (40 Amp) and started checking out the electricals. Once the bike is warmed up, the voltage starts jumping all over the place as high as 17.5 volts. I'm assuming it's the regulator? QUESTION: Should I go with the HD part 74631-06 or should I something else?
Thanks in advance for your help!
BTW.... Nothing was wrong with the stock stator after 13,500 miles. Anyone want a good deal on a stock stator/rotor combo?

The check engine light along with a battery light are a dead giveaway that your regulator took a dump, followed by random check engine lights without the Batt light after you've cycled the ign a couple of times. Since your V+ is jumping around all over the place, thats a good indication the regulator has left the building. Watch out though, the excessive load put on the stator from the voltage swings can cause the new stator to fail.
