For the special socket/wrench or whatever that you can undo the rear brake pad pin with.

Nothing special, just a standard 12pt socket. My booze soaked brain is remembering 1/4", but it could be 5/16". As I recall, the caliper mounting bolts are 10mm.

Thats the problem though, the Pin in on my brake is not a 12 point, more like a 14 or 15 point, so a standard socket wont fit

Sure you weren't trying to use a 6 point socket? Which one of the socket types in the picture were you using? The one on the right is a 6 point the other 2 are 12 point. Never heard of a 14 or 15 point, and I've worked on some strange proprietary equipment over my career.

It should be a 12pt 1/4" socket.
