As for being normal and trying not to run in those ranges.... lol, not possible. Don't think the cops would like me bangin through gears to get to a smooth spot and cruising around town in 4th gear at 45mph!

I pulled the plugs when I first got the bike and they were white. Not much of a plug guru but from what I've read, they looked lean. That's why I got the PC-V. I just stumbled on a thread where the TPS was the problem maker. Gonna check that tomorrow as well. Thanks for the ideas so far!

yeah....I followed the harness' coming from each 02 sensor, unplugged it, and plugged the eliminators on the end of the main harness'. One was down by the front motor mount/isolator and the other was under the seat. Right?

my '06 surges in 1st gear and always has, even with a dyno tune and #25 injectors. its something i've learned to live with. its not like i do a lot or riding around at a constant speed in 1st gear anyway, so it doesn't bother me much. the 06 (and possibly 07) were somewhat notorious for this...

Don't take this the wrong way because I'm not trying to be a smart a$$ but, are you sure the problem isn't with you throttle hand? If you're turning mid to high RPMs in a low gear it wouldn't take much movement of your wrist to make these torquey motors buck a little and appear to be surging. If it surges in the first couple of gears should it not surge through all of them? Good luck to you.

I'll take any suggestions i can to fix this Maclugie... I thought the same thing at first but 3 other people ( all own harleys ) rode it without me saying anything about surging, and sure enough each one, all at seperate times, came back from the ride and told me my bike kinda surges. So i take it that its not just me. I've also been on other harleys and none of the others i've ridden have done this.

Just came back from the garage and took the filter off. There was a little bit of oil inside the filter and a little residue on the throttle body plate. not much tho. I check the TPS connection, its tight. Didnt see any cracked lines or frayed wires. going to get some seafoam in a minute to see if that might do the trick. I'll keep u posted on my results.

Good luck IMBTHREE. I hope you get it figured out soon. When I had my PCV, AC, and slipons installed I had the dealer dyno tune it. I'm thinking the next step in your trouble shooting process would be a dyno tune. You're bike is fairly new so I'm guessing it shouldn't be anything serious.

+1 on lean. My bike is not EFI but did this when it had a lean condition
