changing outer primary
As the title says I am changing my outer primary. In the manual it does not say anything about putting thread locker or anti seize on the bolts, however when I removed the bolts it looked like there was anti-seize. (cream colored on the threads) For those that have removed the primary or put some on, Are you putting any substance on the bolts? I have both loc tite and anti seize to use if necessary. Also the same substance was on primary drain plug. Thanks

Locktite thread sealer 242. Permatex makes some as well. It is blue, medium strength and should be used in accordance with the torque values and torque sequence as per the manual. This is important to follow so that you don't mess up the new primary gasket with imbalanced or over-zealous tightening...that is assuming you're replacing the primary gasket which I would also recommend.
