Leaking primary question

I'm not sure about the different sizing because I don't have a black one here to compare. I just know that the chrome one seemed loose.

This is how I plugged mine
stainless 1/2 x 3-1/2 bolt with teflon washer thru shaft. Nylon lock nut and red thread lock on the back.
Done

plug it with a freeze plug from napa.... 9 /16ths

I was thinking about something like that. I don't know if I could get the nut on the back started, though. Did you have your inner primary off?
