I'm thinking on replacing the stock shocks on my 05' FXDLI with Progressive 440's. The shortest they make in this model is 11.5" which their web site says is the length of the stock shocks. However, the 412's come in an 11" model which I was told is the stock length. Has anybody who rides a LowRider changed their shocks to Progressive? I'm short so I don't want any additional height--
If you search this you will probably find some good stuff... I dont know that you will find the truth but some good stuff........... I have a st bob. some say the low rider is lower some say the bob.. do some looking... any way on my 06 bob I put 11" progressive 412-4037 Yes the bike sets alot lower looks way better dropped.and the ride is perfect even with wife on back..........Maybe this was some help. I hope so.....................................lolife..... .................................................. .................................................. ...................................
I actually like the height of the shocks on my WG. HD did a nice job with this bike, giving the impression that it's been lowered even though it's stock.
Still, I've heard that the stock shocks kinda suck (I don't have a reference to make a comparison)...but from what I understand, a shock upgrade makes a really big difference in ride quality...and all I ever hear is Progressive. Does anyone know which series of (Progressive) shocks would be the same height as a stock wide glide?
Thanks.
