Unhappy J&S Jack bottle replacement
Anybody here experienced a leaking bottle jack on their J&S Jack? My jack is a about 3 years old (one year out of warranty on the bottle jack). Emailed the company - said $35 for a replacement.

I'm thinking I can pick up a better quality 6t bottle jack (the one that came with the unit was made in China) from my local auto parts store and drill the base myself.

Anybody replaced theirs with a better quality after market?

I don't see why you couldn't. It is just a simple bottle jack. Though I am not sure how much cheaper you can get them for...

shouldnt take but a few o-rings to rebuild the one u have

I'd drop the $35 for a replacement 2 year warrantied bottle and be done with it. But, that's me.
