I am 6'2 with around a 33-34" inseam. I wouldn't be able to ride without my forwards. I can do mids, but my hip flexors are tight from a past injury and after 10 mins on mids they start to bother. I like the idea above me, I might try mounting some mid brackets and just using them when im maneuvering around things. I like mids because you have more control over the bike, but I just can't do them all the time

I'm 5'10" and not as tall as others on here, but the mids actually fit me well. I do have a set of engine guards with highway pegs and I think that's the perfect combo for me - I like the mids for controlling the bike and the pegs for legs out cruising. If I were any taller I could see where the mids could be an issue after some time riding, but at least for me the mids/pegs combo is perfect. Best of luck and the Superglide is a great choice!

+1 for mids with hiway pegs. Use the mids in the twistys and heel shift/brake on the rest.

6' 1" here. I prefer to keep my mid controls, so highway pegs were one of the best additions I made.

Again probably not a good comparison, but I'm 5' 11" with 32" inseam. Love my mids for in town driving, but have highway pegs, Kury ISO with stirups, for the highway. This way I can move my legs back and forth between the 2 so I don't get locked into one position. Just works for me is all I am saying.

I'm 6'3" and use the mid controls. See no reason to change.

The bike did look a little bigger in the show room.

My son is 6'5" and kept the mids. He has 30,000 miles on his 06 Street Bob. Works fine for him. But on our last 4,000 mile ride he bolted an aluminum angle iron across the front frame to put his feet there for a change once in awhile.

I am 6'-1" and have a 34" inseam as well. I have mid controls and highway pegs on my 09 FXDC with the stock HD handlebars and seat. I felt a little cramped on longer rides and was considering the Tallboy seat, but really couldn't afford it, so I moved the stock seat back about 1 1/2" for additional leg room and riding comfort by flipping the rear mounting bracket around. It was easy and free. Have any of you guys gone to an after market seat or modified the stock seat? Have you changed your handlebars? I just read about the stock seat mod from mean city cycles.

+1.
I'm 6'2" with 34" inseam.
Went with Kury extended, I need to stretch my legs no matter city or freeway.
Kury was much better than HD forward ones

Default Superglide mid controls vs. forwards

First of all, I'd like to thank all of you for taking the time to respond to my post...it was a big help. I think I'm going to initially go with the mids and highway pegs. If I find myself favoring the highway pegs, I'll switch over to the extended Kurys. I do like the idea of having two options on where to put my feet, so even if I decide on the forwards, I'll also keep the mid pegs. Once again, thank you all for your suggestions. Please take care and keep a good eye out for the occasional idiot driver.

6'0" with 33 inseam. Forwards on my 03 SG are very comfortable for me.
