Hey guys, I'm going to get my lower legs powdercoated and am wondering if anyone knows how many cc's of oil go into the legs? I know I can pour it out and measure like that, but I want to know an exact number if possible, since some would remain on the spring and ect.... Thanks

Also, what is the best weight of oil to put back in? I know a lot of you have done this, so hoping for some newbie advice.

Your MOM should be able to tell you how much oil either wet or dry...

Oil in the forks is measured by the airspace left on top and not by quantity. Usually you compress the fork with the spring removed, add oil to the correct height, then drop in the spring and cap it off. This way the airspace in both is equall.

im a big fan of powdercoat as you can see i have alot on my bike. but i beleive its cheaper and better as far as time goes, to paint the lower legs with appliance epoxy paint. all you have to do is remove the front wheel. and sand and paint. and you are riding again the next day. just my opinion. pm me if you need any help. i got the idea from JRK9854 and he powdercoats for a living. powder everything paint the batter band and lower legs. good luck whatever you decide!
