Hello, I'm new to the forum, and a new WG owner. I've had mine for over 4 months now and even though I like the look of the stock drag bars, I'd like to go up to some ape hangers now. I have no idea where to buy them, or what size would be good for my 5' 10" frame. How would you even know other than guessing?
What's a good set up for the 2011/2010 and my height?
I'm looking to add more chrome as well, so the stock risers/headlight can go, which will be replaced giving it a little more shine that the stock set-up. I like the look of the new WG's, but miss that 90's chrome look as well.
Welcome to the forum. There's a search feature which will net you far more useful information than you'll probably get by starting a thread. There's a thread for 2010 Wide Glide owners that will have tons of pics. There's also a thread for ape hangers. Best way to measure for you is to sit on the bike with a broom handle and have somebody measure what height, width, and pullback fits most comfortably to you.
The best way to figure out what height bars you want is to sit on the bbike and put your hands out (pretend you're grabbing a handful of throttle) and then let a friend measure the distance betwen your hands and the trees. No guesswork involved.
