As of right now from talking to a few people and seeing the bikes in person I am leaning towards the Wide Glide.

I will see what the dealer comes back with as far as numbers go and a test ride will be the final step.

Thanks

If you want to test ride the Street Bob, ride on up and take it for a spin.

While you're up in Central Florida riding Bznitch's Street Bob, swing out by Deltona and you can test ride my Fat Bob.

Man, my Street Bob stops extremely well. I'll have to do a test run on a Fat Bob to see the difference because I don't know what yall are talking about.

x eleventybillion. Although I wanted a Wide Glide and they couldn't project if/when there would be one in country here. Had to put forward controls on, which the Fat Bob and Wide Glide already come with.

I bought the Wide Glide because I was mesmerized. Went into the HD dealer intending to buy a Street Bob. Worked the math on forward controls, p-pad, single headlight, and other things I would have changed out, and the Wide Glide turned out to be the better price anyway, in the end.

It doesn't handle as well as other Harleys I've owned or ridden over the years, but then again it is as close to a "chopper" as HD dares to sell. It took me a little while to get used to laying it into the curves, as it tends to want to straighten itself out a little. It was kind of like the bike was arguing with me, at first. Now that I've become accustomed to it, it's fine.

Braking. Meh. Not the best, for sure, but still controllable all the way to locked wheels. Would you rather the wheels go into reverse?

Seriously, I think braking would be better up front with more rubber on the road, but it's sufficient.

If sport riding is your thing, there are better choices than the Wide Glide, for sure. It was built for the "cool factor", not for road racing performance.

I like my wide glide a lot - but have a lot of love for the other dynas too... just a thought. if the 12's are coming out soon might get a good deal on an 11. my dealer is running 1.99% financing on all dynas

How's it going brother, didn't know you were over on this forum, good to see you around someplace besides GT

Thanks for the input, and glad you're enjoying your new toy.
