What is a good replacement for the stock WG license plate bracket?
Dyna Glide ModelsSuper Glide, Super Glide Sport, Super Glide Custom, Dyna Glide Convertible, Super Glide T-Sport, Dyna Glide Police, Dyna Switchback, Low Rider, Street Bob, Fat Bob and Wide Glide.
I have mine turned vertical. This is the stock bracket with the plate tuned vertical. I went and took a piece of scrape diamond plate i had lying around and cut it to fit . I bolted the license plate to the diamond plate and then bolted the diamond plate to the stock bracket.

You can remove half of the license plate backing plate and mount it vertically. It is designed to work either way. That's why it's two pieces.
Ditto, I also remove the sliding part of the bracket also. I know it maybe not legal but I keep mine folded in because it makes a humming / vibrating sound.
OK, I looked at this.. I don't see how it's able to rotate.
How did you make this work?
Thanks
Remove the outer half of the backing plate. You'll be left with one square on the bracket, and another square in your hand. Take the piece in your hand and rotate it 90 degrees so that the holes line up in such a way that you can reattach it on the bracket, making the complete rectangle (both squares) vertical, rather than horizontal.
I wish I could take a picture to show you. It's really simple, but hard to describe with text.
