Owner's manual is lost, first oil change, tranny and primary, what's the fluid capacity of each? I am going to run Amsoil 20w50 for primary and engine, redline shockproof 75w140 for gear box. Any recommendation? Thanks!
Hey lo-rider, thanks so much for your quick reply, it is very helpful, wish everyone get the same help in the forum. ~PEACE~
Agreed....what a douche of a response. Sorry dude I am traveling right now or I would respond but I think that its 2.5 qt, 1qt, 1qt for the three holes. Someone will answer you soon though.
Thanks thegrants82, I do have an idea for engine and primary, not sure about the tranny coz my other Harley is a 5 speed. I have ordered a service manual, bought a SB 3 weeks ago, the previous owner lost the owner manual, that's why I am asking help until I get the service manual, will do oil change tomorrow. Thanks!
You asked for any recommendations, with out telling us what bike you have.
Lo-Rider's recommendation was the only safe recommendation, without guessing.
You made yourself more clear on your request, But only after thegrant82 made his nice comment.
You state thats its mainly the tranny your concerned about. I'll bet it has a dip stick on it so you could check as your refilling..
How DARE you come in here and ask for technical information... You will need to buy 3 quarts for engine and quart each for primary and trans. Pretty sure it wont take the full 3 quarts for engine.
You bet, I am brave lol.
Btw is that your gal on the bike? Looks like she will be riding soon.

ROFLMAO..........great response. My prior 1qt as per manual was meant for tranny or primary. Engine is 3 qts dry so a little more than 2 1/2 wet.
