Default 06 dyna recalls

Have been reading about common problems with 06 dynas. was wondering if there are recalls on this model year and any other problems that the dealer shoud fix if i encounter them. i bought my streetbob new and have had no problems (other than a broken negative battery cable last week) bike has 22,000 miles on it. i know the inner primary bearing apparently has a problem, just wondering about recalls or problems that the dealer should take care of , thanks

I'm also interested from the other thread about 06 bikes and repairs.

As far as I know, the IPB is the only major issue. There was not a recall and won't be a recall. They (the moco) seem to have handled the repairs on a case by case basis.

I also bought my '06 Street Bob new and it currently has 24500 trouble-free miles. I never had any problems other than normal tire wear - I'm on my 3rd rear tire and 2nd front tire.

The '06 Dyna recalls for your bike depend on when it was built. Mine was near the end of the run (mfg date Aprili 2006) and has no recalls. I think the cut-off date was February 2006. Prior to that you may have some combination of recalls. I only remember 2 of the recalls at the moment: Inner Primary Bearing and 25deg Fuel injectors. Maybe someone else can chime in with a list or link for the remaining '06 Dyna recalls...

There was a recall for the transmission, but I don't remember what exactly it entailed.

Having a late '06 LR there are no "official" recalls on my scoot as mine came with the 25 degree injectors from the factory. Yet, as I write, bike is at the dealer for the IPB issue at 26k miles. MoCo is covering replacement of the bearing as well as the inner primary case and the tranny case.

The other non-recall problem I've heard of on the '06 is the stator. Appears '06 models have a 2 piece design where bolts can come loose and cause a world of hurt. '07 and later models have a one piece (actually welded) design. So while the dealer has it apart for the IPB I will have them replace the stator if it is the older 2 piece design (I'm not sure when the MoCo made the switch to the one piece design).

The only actual recalls that I can remember were the steering stem washer replacment and loctite on the bolt that holds the battery box. IPB, stator and 25* injectors were not recalls. Those were all common problems but they weren't recalled.

Low Rider....Can you let us know what they find with the stator. My bike is a late production 06 as well. I have never got a reliable answer as to when they switched to the 1 piece unit.

P.S. I think the transmission recall had to do with the neutral light switch.

Took mine in last month to have the inner primery bearing replaced. While it was there(HD Dealer) they informed me I had two recalls. 1. Trans recall for false neutral. 2. Battery Bolt.
Mine was built mid 2005.
