07 dyna performance mod pecking order?
Opening the air cleaner a bit ias important. You can buy the SE air cleaner kit for $140. Or you can modify the stock can and install a bigger filter, like K&N.
For exhaust, the best bang for the buck is slip ons. Check with S&S and Cycle Shack.
Internally, swap in a better cam, like SE204. I think Andrews also has some nice cams for this new motor.
If you live at a high altitude, consider upping the compression ratio.
1) Stage I A/C 29440-99D $104.77
2)SE perf slip-ons 80491-07 $318
3) 103 Stage 1 kit -29903-07 Black. $ 534 ( includes cylinders/pistons/Stage I A/C)
4)SERT 32107-01F $ 357
SERT Cable 32108-06 $ 26.95
SE Cams (251,255,257,258) $211.37
First, you'll need the SERT. Don't even try any significant mods without it. The key is in the tune, not in the parts you bolt on. The TC box that uses a wide band O2 sensor is also a good choice. Anything that eliminates the O2 sensor, IMO, is a bad choice for a daily rider.

I'll play devil's advocate for a while. I did my research when in the exact same boat as wannavee. I chose to go with the PCIII for a couple of different reasons. 1) I can install it myself in a half hour. (which I did) 2) I can tweak it as I feel necessary 3) There have been more complaints of lean pops and backfiring under decel that I have heard from SERT users than PCIII users. 4) I already gave Harley enough of my money. Also, I feel that the so-called "closed-loop" fuel injection system is far from that. The loop is only closed at start-up and just off idle. Otherwise it goes into "open loop." This closed loop system on a harley is far from an automobile style fuel injection system. On a car it is constantly adjusting a/f ratio based on maf readings. The motorcycle is not doing so. For this reason I chose the PCIII. I can plug the O2 sensors and eliminate all possible chance of bad idle and low fuel just off idle. The PCIII also kicks in extra fuel at start up so that is not an issue. I am a proponent of the PCIII, not a dealer or distributor. The reason I am a proponent of it is not because I own it, it's because my bike runs great, hasn't popped or backfired once and is easily tunable and removable. The SERT would have to be installed by a dealer, involves splicing wires and I have heard negative comments of lean pops and backfiring/popping under decel. My bike is a daily rider and will always be that. In fact it's dirty more than its clean. I have never been a "bang for buck" kind of guy. I buy the best components that I can afford at the time. For this I went with PCIII, thunderheader and SE a/c kit. Also, my bike has never been "tuned" or dynoed. I told fulemoto what I was putting on the bike and then I slapped the PCIII on and away I went. I couldn't be happier with the performance of my bike.
You won't notice a seat-of-the-pants difference with any of the above-mentioned tuners. You may notice a difference if the placebo effect is in place.
Regarding the cams, on a stock motor it may not be the best option. It will just move your powerband up the rpm range. A harley generates low-end torque and cams will cause a loss of some low end torque. If you go with a big bore kit or the like, a cam will help.
Also, above was mentioned a gain of 11HP from SE a/c?! You MIGHT gain 11HP from SE a/c combined with exhaust and tune.
All of the above is opinion for the most part and just some food for thought.

When doing any engine mods it is important to keep a balance between components .
