A lot of a rider's level of comfort at this speed has to do with upper body strength. I have the same bike and don't experience the same discomfort you mention.

I got a FF RF1100 helmet that I mostly use for the rain but it does help with the wind. The helmet is made with areodynamics to keep your head from getting toossed around, no lift.
I love the mini apes. Fowards help too.A good back support seat too.
Tuck in in and let her rip.
90 bucks, Clips on in less than a minute. I leave the lower mounts on the bars and just slip the the windshield on and tighten two thumbscrews. I do way to much high speed hyway riding to let ugly old men on ugly old baggers give me the flyby....

Very true. I enjoy the stomach crunch workout at 80 with my feet extended over my forward controls. It is no different with my T-Bars than it was when I had 14" apes.
It's all a matter of building your comfort level.
I just passed 5 baggers on the hwy last sunday ride, I fight the wind and enjoy wind blowing on my face while those baggers were having a comfort ride. Hey, wind on your face is part of motorcycle riding, never had a windshield on any of my Harley, try to keep my speed below 80mph isn't too bad.
P.S. I might get a wind shield when I turn 60 lol.
