Was thinking about doing this on my 09 street bob. black tripple trees and chrome lowers.
I do remember seeing someone on here with this combination just wondering if someone could post some pics.
also do the gloss black tripple trees and the chrome lowers hold up better than the stock tripple trees and lowers. my stock ones are starting to get full of dings and scratches from bugs and road debris.
I have black powdered trees with chrome lowers and a set of gaitors off a Nighster.
Also have black bars with chrome Joker controls and a black Joker headlight with chrome face.
So, I have a consistent mix between black and chrome.
Sorry...couldn't get photos to load.

nice look with the black triple trees. Does the gloss black hold up better to dings from bugs and rock dings than the brushed billet aluminum stock one.
Not sure which you meant but the triples are satin black (20%) powder coat whereas the lowers are stock HD gloss black - niether have been on a real long time just yet but I'm sure the PC will hold up better than the polished triples I had on there - as for the gloss black lowers..........jury is still out but if they start getting dinged up I'll just get the same satin black on them and be done with it.

No matter what you have up front, it will still get dinged and scratched from bugs and road debris unless you make your mods and then park the bike inside your garage (or wherever you store your m/c).
