Hey guys, I'm usually pretty sure about what I want, and with this one I had a definite vision (till now).
So anyway it's mod season up here in the northeast and so far this years mods are going to be "WHEELS" they are going to be 18" fat spokes with black rims, black hubs, and chrome spokes.
Also going on will be chrome fork tins.
The thing I'm having trouble deciding on is the fork lowers I cound just go with chrome (because I am a bit of a chrome *****) but I think I want to mix it up a little. So i'm thinkin black lowers. Or maybe the upper thicker part chrome(so it extends the look of the tins) and the lower thiner part black (if that can be done i haven't seen that).
I'd like to do this while it's all apart but i'm having trouble see'in it without the wheels on.
There's ALOT of nice bikes here so i respect all of your opinions so if ya have one i'd love to hear it.
I'd go either chrome or all black. I think half and half will look weird. I hate how the lo forks look, never understood why they put black cow bells and not black lowers on.
The chrome will make the black rim and hub really stand out, nice contrast.
I vote for chrome, I think that with the black rim and hubs, and your color on the fender that there is enough contrast. Cant have too much chrome in my book
Do the forks all chrome. The way I see your bike, the black accent on the rim & hubs is enough. If you do the forks black also, I think the front will be out of balance with the rest of the bike. Just my opinion
Hey, Keith.. although they are not fat, i got black rims, hubs, stainless spokes and black pc...
I love me some chrome but i love me some black too. I prefer the black...
and be careful about chrome spokes.. I hear they rust a lot easier then stainless....
I know pictures don't do my bike any justice, if they did it would be plain to see that I am a "chrome *****"!! I vote CHROME! I just don't think you can't have enough chrome, especially when the sun is bouncing off of it. Somehow black and chrome ALWAYS makes magic happen. I have seen some fantastic colors here on bikes and they look so sweet but black and chrome always seems to be a show stopper. Having said that I have been thinking blue on my bike when I getmy new tins but still, with what you are doing already, chrome on your bike gets my vote, hands down!
