Default Solo rider, who is using the passenger pegs as foot rest?

Since I converted from mid to forward control, I found changing leg position does help to free my leg joints. I've removed the passenger pegs and ride solo 100% on this SB, yesterday I sat on my buddy's dyna, put my feet on the passenger pegs while I am sitting on the rider seat, not bad at all, it might help on long ride. What do you guys think? Someone suggested me to put the mid control pegs on but it looks ugly when you flip them up. Thanks!

I've seen it done before.

I do it

I have forward controls and I installed mid pegs. Actually the mid pegs helped me when I laid the bike down..... I had minimal damage....didn't even break my mirrors and I have them under-slung on my apes

I use the rear passenger pegs on long rides. it does help with the old knees, I just hook my heels over them and ride like it is a rice rocket until that becomes uncomfortable

I've done it before, or in bad wind I'll put my head down and feet back to help cut through it on the interstate.

Yep I use them on real long rides. Just for a couple minutes at a time to stretch out a bit.

+1 on a couple minutes at a time, I also have a set of mid pegs that help with the foot position, plus it helps with the back.

When I had a small twin in college, I would ride for hours and always put my feet back; it rolls you forward on your inner thighs. Compared to your butt, you can ride comfortable on thighs all day.

I think there may be two reasons people don't do this on H-Ds, most seats are very wide, which makes this a little more uncomfortable spreading your hips; my bike happens to have a reach seat on it which is narrower. The other issue is the pegs on my FB are much higher relative to my sitting position, compared to my old little twin. Once I get my exhaust bag situation settled out, I will change passenger pegs - Kury has some that look like they lock in different positions - these might be perfect! Cheers, Kevin.

+1 i believe this is why most people dont do it, i have tried it with my new wide glide on long rides and it bends my legs just a little too much putting more stress on the knees.

im shooting for adding mid mounts with my old nightster pegs which are
very small.

Great for change up on long runs.
Looks fine to me.

I have changed this set-up,

And now use the mid mounts as a rear mount for the larger Kuryakyn Touring boards.

edit : Sorry, I now realize you were asking about passenger pegs, not mid pegs..
