Make sure you get a post-'86 (I think was the cut-off year) ... before that, the dimensions of the FLST front end were a little different (slightly shorter if I'm not mistaken) ....
FLSTC/FLSTF/FLSTN (Heritage/Fat Boy/Deluxe, respectively) all have the same triple trees and forks ... the FLSTN tins are smooth (slight convexity to the surface) and chrome plated ... FLSTC/FLSTF both have the three 'chevrons' on the face of the tins on either side of the headlight and I think are stainless vice chrome ....
The Fat Boy turn signals are mounted under the hand controls ... the Heritage and Deluxe have the 'hammock' passing lamp/turn signal mounting bar; but, the Deluxe's bar is 'molded' and uses the bullet turn signals vice the lollipop ones like the Heritage ... the Deluxe light bar is more pricey than the Heritage's ....

That is what I was looking for, thanks for the info!
While I was searching for info on the Softail fronts this is what I think I remember.
FXST fork tubes are 2 in. longer than FLST tubes. Pre 2000 or sometime around then tubes on FLST are 5/8 in. longer than newer ones. I got the older, longer FLST ones because I didn't want the runnin boards dragging too easily since I was going to go with a 17 Fat Boy front wheel (which I haven't done yet). At this time with the 19 on front I haven't dragged the boards yet. When I put on the Fat Boy front with 19" wheel I should have dropped the front of the bike 1 3/8 in. with the older tubes instead of 2in. with the newer tubes.
FXST tubes are the same length as most FXD tubes.
FLH tubes are the shortest tubes.
All 41mm tubes are identical except the length. So fork legs and internals swap.
Added info after original post: I got this from BKrider site. 41 mm Fork Tubes 1984 & later 41mm fork tubes are all the same with the exception of total length. FLT 1984-1996 22-7/8"
FLT 1997-later 20-1/4"
FLSTC/N/F 1986-1999 22-7/8"
FLSTC/N/F 2000-later 22-1/4"
FXWG ,FXST/C 1984-1999 24-1/2"
FXDWG,FXST/C 2000-later 24-1/4" Our fork tubes won't work on some FLT models 2002-later use cartridge damper on the left side.
I have a fat boy front end on my 1998 Super Glide ! It rides nice down the freeway and surface streets ! The only problem i noticed is my turning radius is not as good as it would be with the super glide front end !!

or you could use these and have Blackbike wheels build you a wheel with fat bob specs and with a few extras like fatbob spacers, and axle it would be a bolt on deal.It would look just like that silver bike that you guys were lookin at. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
