I replaced my stock turn signals with LED signals that are integrated into the mirrors. The left side wired up great, an worked first try, the right side is a different story...got everything hooked up and nothing worked. It seems to be a ground wire problem...cause if I touch the black wire to a metal spot on the bike, everything works fine.
If the ground is the problem, does anyone know how to fix it?? Do I need to run a new ground wire?? If so, from where to where??
you can run it right from your battery back or you can just find a ground location on the frame. most LED;s have to have a full circut to run
Thanks for the quick response. If I find a place on the from or bars, I am just wondering how to hide the wire...currently the wires are all ran inside the bars(street slammers). What do you mean by a full circuit...what I have done at this point is just grounded the wire to the throttle cable(metal piece that attaches to the bars)...but it is not hidden very well, would this hurt anything?
Also interestingly enough, my speedo light started flickering last night and I am wondering if this all ties together.
I am not much of an electrician...so I am struggling with weather or not to bite the bullet with the dealer...
