Anyone made saddlebag supports?
After doing some more searching and looking for ideas, I found something similar to what I was thinking about doing here. Instead of the flat stock being slotted into the round bar it's bent into an L and the butt end of the round bar is welded straight on. I found these on eBay. The price is pretty reasonable. $39.75 with $12 shipping.

They look like pretty thin round bar though. I think I'll probably just make my own out of beefier round bar.
