Default New tire help!

Have an 07 super glide custom that has 160/70-17 on back and 100/90-19 on front, both are stock Dunlops. Where is the best place to order tires and best brand? Also, is there other options, cuz I think a 180 on back would look good. Also do they have tubes or no tubes? Any help would be great!

If you have spokes you need tubes. Shops recommend changing the tubes every time you change your tires. I change my tubes every other time. I like Pirelli night dragons for the rear 180 60B 17 is the size I run. Double check your rear tire size. I'm on my second (maybe third..cant remember) front tire at 24000 miles. Running the stock dunlop 100 90 19. I'll be trying the Avon 110 90 19 next. They are a bit beefier and I've read good things about them. Rocky Mountain ATV-MC...$175 for the pirelli shipped. Google Avon tires if you think that may be an option.

+1 If you live close, besides the great price they mount and balance for $28.50 a tire. My Superglide handled rain and grooved pavement great with the Metzler 880's, my Electraglide likes the Avalons.

24000 on the front! dang I was thinking of going away from the dunlop because my front and back both have 10,000 on them. the front has tread but is weather cracking! I cant imagine getting another 12000 on it!

No--24000 total on the bike. I have a few thousand left on my front. So average out to 10000 each in front. My rear dunlops go about 5000 each. No way will I ever get 10000 out of the rear. So now we'll see how many miles I get out of the rear pirelli. Its fairly new, but in my opinion feels and handles much better than dunlop.

FXDC comes stock with 160/17-70 rear and FXDWG has 180/60B17. My Michelin Scorchers have just under 10k and the rear is down to the 'wear bar'. The front may last another 5k. I'm going to try anyway.

I second the Night Dragon, I am running one on the front and will be going with one on the rear soon, I have an old tire I had on now. My last tire was a Dunlop roadsmart and I got 8500 out of it. Get all my tires from Motorcycle Super store.

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...Rear-Tire.aspx

The Roadsmart before I changed it, gave real good traction in the corners, notice the small chicken strip. A hard bottoming out caused me to rub the seat screw and caused took out some rubber.
