What a pisser wish I would have waited one more year for the 103" but I guess who knows how much more money they will be?
personally i'm happy with my 96 but i am digging that exhaust style change shown in that manual, it looks like it eliminates the cat in the header pipe and im sure the super heated right leg that goes with it.

You can bet the cat is in there. It looks a lot like the 2 into 1 on the baggers, I bet the cat is in the pipes right in front of the muffler.
Seems like a good idea on paper, but I think they failed a bit on the delivery. Ok, "failed" might be too strong of a word. I think they get a C+. To me, it just looks a little bland (hoping that it looks better in person). I'm not going to say the stuff is just "slapped on" but it looks lazy. Like they just copied a few parts from their other lines and didn't try to produce a concept Dyna touring bike.
I would have made the bags bigger, offered a better looking seat (with a riders backrest), kept the 49mm forks, offered a more stylish set of wheels, maybe even wide white walls* and then offer a 3/4 and full fairing options. The windshield is just stupid.
* This might be the one great thing that comes from this model. If the moco is trying to tell us Dyna's are baggers too....then freaking offer WIDE WHITE WALLS to us!
actually, It looks sort of my like dyna. I can take all of my stuff off in under 5 minutes as well
takes me 5 mintues also to remove eveything , i'd rather see something like mine (below) not in love with the rims on the FLD or the fenders hmo. Schu welcome back from the dark side nice bike
will be interesting to see where they price the fld. by 11 prices fxdf is 14999 in vivid black base road king is 16999. you get quite a lot for your 2k. i would imagine this will have to be a grand cheaper that a rk for anyone to buy it. leads me to believe touring prices are going up and this is going to be out there as a cheaper alternative. my guess is the fld will go for 16500 and the base rk will go up to 17999.
