Great look man...and the best part is it's not like anything else out there. I've got an 07WG and change my mind everyday. Looking for fender options, like what you've done. I also got a fender off of ebay and am gonna hack it this winter.
I read thru your posts, forgive me if I missed the answer to this...
Did you get new fender struts? Any issues with attachment? I don't want to hack my current struts and am looking for options to attach my modded 2010 WG fender when I'm done.
Thanks bro...

What you see is the frame. The chrome are just covers. I just took the chrome covers off. The chrome covers are a few inches longer than the frame(fender struts).
Simple remove the upper shock bolt, 2 turn signal bolts and I think that's it the best I remember. The chrome covers will come right off.
The SG fender bolts on with NO mods except I did buy stainless hardware from hardware store.
You could use SG, Street Bob, etc strut covers as they are shorter.

Here is the material I cut off the Super Glide fender. The pics suck but you get the idea.
And with the bare bones seat, which is TOO hard for anything except bar hopping.
And the tail lights.
BTW, I used a die grinder with a 3" cut off wheel. Don't try to use a jig saw as it will bend the fender as you make your cut.

Cool Frank thanks for all the fender info and pics of it! So you trimmed the sides off too? Your bike is damn awesome man sits perfect! I like the new seat I was about to get that one but went with a mustang vintage plain. Wish we lived closer I would take you up on your offer to help!
I took the muffler off the pro pipe and liked the look. Way too loud to ride without muffler. I had the stock mufflers and took the baffles out of them. Cut stock baffles to about 8" and wrapped them with fiberglass wrap. Crammed them in the drag pipes and drilled a .040 hole in edge of each pipe put a small sheet metal screw to hole in place.
Next I'm going to try and make a couple of aluminum end caps to dress the pipes up.
I wrapped the pipes with DEI titanium exhaust wrap. Secured it with safety wire.
If it's too loud, I can always put the Pro Pipe muffler back on, or fab some lollipop baffles to slightly reduce noise. What do you think?
