I took the muffler off the pro pipe and liked the look. Way too loud to ride without muffler. I had the stock mufflers and took the baffles out of them. Cut stock baffles to about 8" and wrapped them with fiberglass wrap. Crammed them in the drag pipes and drilled a .040 hole in edge of each pipe put a small sheet metal screw to hole in place.
Next I'm going to try and make a couple of aluminum end caps to dress the pipes up.
I wrapped the pipes with DEI titanium exhaust wrap. Secured it with safety wire.
If it's too loud, I can always put the Pro Pipe muffler back on, or fab some lollipop baffles to slightly reduce noise. What do you think?
Hey I did the same. Took off the muffler from the pro pipe and collector. I put a 5 inch turn out on each pipe and I really like the sound. It's loud but not stupid loud.
