Its not that big of a difference. Dont get me wrong I wish I had a 103 on my Fat Bob but honestly it has all the power I need and will be swapped out for a new bike or a 120R engine in 3 years anyways.
Yeah, I was a little bummed because I just baught a 2011 fxdwg could have waited one year and got a 103 for dang near the same price. Whatya do? I guess as said above the power difference is really not that much.
It looks like 8 ft-lb of torque over the 96" as advertised on the website. I usually just putt around and cruise on my Fat Bob. I can actually count the number of wide open throttle runs I've done on my bike. One! Good enough for me...
With a 96 ci. and just a pipe change and efi I can just about raise the front wheel off the ground in all but 5th and 6th gear. Plenty of power to be had here. And I still get 40 mpg. Cam it and you will have even more . Lots of guys with 103 's factory will tell you they are not that much more powerful. If I ever do play with this motor ill probably do a 107 kit from fuel moto.
Who cares? The number on the side of your air cleaner means that much to you?
Exactly. I ride with a lot of 103's and we all end up sitting at the same red lights and getting to our destination at the same time... I even lead the pack a lot of the time.
